Did you know that in Ontario, when you hire an electrical contractor to do work in your home, it is the law they are licensed? Hiring an unlicensed contractor can be dangerous to both you, the homeowner, and the person you're hiring.
This is an issue that is very important to #YOURelectricalcontractor and #TeamVerve. As a Licensed Electrical Contractor, our team of electricians have the training, skill, knowledge and expertise to make sure the work done in your home is done safely and done right. We have the ability to obtain all the necessary permits to ensure the work we do is compliant with the rules governed by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). This is extremely important because all electrical work done in the province of Ontario must be inspected by the Electrical Safety Authority.
If it sounds complicated, pulling permits, scheduling inspections, don't worry! That's why you hire us, a Licensed Electrical Contractor! We will take care of all of that for you! It is these permits and inspection that are covered by the "ESA" charge on your estimate. That charge is what we pay to ESA to obtain the proper permits for the work we're doing for you and to have the work we've done inspected. This is not an optional charge, but rather a necessary one. If an electrical contractor has told you that your work doesn't require ESA's involvement, ask to see their ECRA/ESA number as proof that they're licensed. Chances are they're not, and they're putting themselves, and you, at risk.
